When Charlotte contacted me and asked whether I’d be interested in travelling to Cyprus to shoot the wedding of her and fiance Chris, it took me about twenty seconds to say yes! They had booked for October, as it would supposedly be ‘cooler’. But roll on their big day and the weather was SCORCHING: reaching over 40 degrees at times.
The wedding had a very modern, but low-key feel to the whole day, with a green colour scheme that went in perfectly with the gorgeous Cypriot surroundings.
A beautiful and relaxed destination wedding with lots of modern, thoughtful details.
Amanda booked me for her wedding in Devon so long ago it’s unreal, I think I had over three year’s notice! When it finally came around we were so ready, and Amanda had been planning her big day to perfection. The hard work paid off, because the whole day went without a hitch. With a sparkly vintage vibe, and a strong use of beautiful dark reds throughout the wedding, every detail was beautiful. Her amazing fishtail dress, the bridesmaid dresses plus all of the groomsmen’s outfit were from Prudence Gowns in Plymouth, with hair being provided by Blush Bridal, and make up by Rosie Finnigan, and they all looked perfect. Even man’s man Aaron had cleaned up well. I think Amanda’s lovely Dad was certainly pleased with his daughter’s look, his emotional reaction had everyone in tears.
The flowers, from Florabunda fitted into the day to perfection, with a mix of dark burgundy and cream roses, and I was quite keen to take home her shoes, from Benjamin Roberts London With the gorgeous wedding decorations (including those incredible name places!)provided by Faithful Designs, and chair covers, sashes and linen provided by the brilliant Southwest Chair Covers, there was literally no details that Amanda hadn’t thought of. Oh, and the CAKE!!! How incredible is that deisgn, made by Ezzie’s Cakes? It smelt incredible, I was desperate to take a bite but thought it best I refrained…
As always, Langdon Court couldn’t do enough for Amanda and her guests. Langdon has for some time been one of my absolute favourite venues, and the food there is seriously to die for. I am always so happy when I’m shooting there and manage to blag a meal! Guests chomped down opn beef wellington and Lamb cutlets, jeeeeez! Luckily for me, most of the guests were too full form their dinner to eat to the the macarons from the coffee table, which delighted me no end…
Their beautiful day was captured by an amazing and multi-talented videographer Ray Macshane. I’ve seen some of their video and it’s gorgeous. Part of the the videography team also doubled up as the entertainer and DJ during the evening, under the name Mackie Entertainment, which was also fantastic.
The whole day was really, really beautiful, which Amanda’s meticulous eye for detail stamped all over it. Aaron, in his own words, had also done a lot: in the way of letting his wife-to-be choose everything! I’ve recently ordered their wedding album: a hand-made Italian album and box finished with a maple- wood finish and I can’t wait to se it!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Hulme!

Beautiful, dainty little Genevieve took a little while to warm up, but as soon as the cake was introduced she was off! She totally loved getting stuck into all that glorious cake, and even got Daddy involved!
Our Cake Smashes are incredibly popular, and also incredibly limited. We do advise Cake Smashes to be booked well in advance, usually around a couple of months at least, although many clients will book in during their newborn session! Its crazy how quickly their newborn shoot turns into their first birthday cake smash! If you live in Henley, South Oxfordshire, Berkshire and are interested in a first birthday shoot, get in touch!
Four week old Cressida is just so beautiful isn’t she? She had lovely soft skin, and was an absolute little princess for her session. Mum had managed to book me last minute, after she realised how quickly her little girl was changing! It’s so important to try and capture those precious few weeks, they change so much very quickly afterwards. She liked being on her tummy, so we spent quite a lot of her newborn shoot shoot there!
If you live near Newton Abbot or in the surrounding areas of Plymouth, Exeter or Devon, and are looking for some special newborn photography to cherish those first moment forever, take a look at our newborn page, or get in touch! We love to hear from you xxxx

Ok, so I’m a little bias with these two, but they are THE BEST. I love them a crazy amount. Their Mum and Dad happen to be two of our best friends, and Olivia is my gorgeous God-daughter. So of course, this wasn’t Olivia’s first photoshoot with me! I did her newborn photography, photographed her first year, of course her first birthday cake smash session, and when little Reuben came along it was only fair that I was going to do his newborn photography too! And now here he is for his Cake Smash. Like his sister, Reuben LOVED the camera, he smiled like crazy for the entire shoot. And despite being quite tiny, he polished off the entire cake in no time at all and put up quite the fight not to leave! I don’t know where on earth he put it all.
Big sister joined in first for some photos too, and true to form she was completely gorgeous.
If you live in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire or nearby and are interested in booking a Cake Smash Session with your little one, get in touch! It’s advisable to book well in advance as we fill up fast!
Ahh little baby Connie. We had to re-schedule her initial newborn shoot as she was poorly when she was just a few days old. So, when she finally came in she was already on the older end of what I would recommend for newborn shoots (I would usually recommend between 6-12 days old). But nobody told her that! She totally stole the show at her first ever photo shoot and stayed asleep for quite some time. She did wake up right the very end though, to strike a pose and for me to have a cuddle…
If you’d like some beautiful newborn photography, it’s recommended that you book while you’re still pregnant! I’m very limited to the number of sessions I can take on, and newborn photoshoots are our longest shoots. Many clients like to book around the time of their second scan. So if you’re keen to bring your precious little boy, girl, or multiples, in for their first photoshoot, get in touch!
Ahhh, lovely, lovely Luca. Have you ever seen such ridiculously gorgeous blue eyes? I met Luca as a newborn for his newborn shoot back in July last year, and he was just so scrummy then and so well behaved. When his Mum contacted for his cake smash photography session I couldn’t wait to see him again, and he didn’t disappoint! He spent the whole session smiling and laughing and showing off, and gave me the biggest hug ever at the end of his session. He went to TOWN on his cake, and kept going for so long! Happy Birthday Luca!
It won’t be too long until I see him again, as I’m shooting his Mum and Dad’s wedding in December.
If you have a special little person who’s about to celebrate their first birthday, what better way to celebrate than with a cake smash session? We include everything, you just bring along the baby!
I was contacted very close to the date for Rhona and Tye’s wedding photography, and I have to say I didn’t know what to expect. Before their big day I hadn’t met either of them at all and only spoken via email. They were travelling from London to get married, and their venue was Tyeth’s parents house. But I was very pleasantly surprised. Their beautiful, relaxed wedding took place in the gorgeous town of Stockland in East Devon, and Tyeth’s family home was so beautiful, full of wild flowers, ample space and the most breathtaking views. Rhona looked stunning in a dress passed down through generations, and the wedding was full of beautiful natural little touches. I also became rather fond of their very cool and cute kiddos, Lettice and Maddock. Speaking of children: there were a lot of them present, over fifty. Congratulations to this lovely little family.

As you may have noticed, along with my move to South Oxfordshire, I have a new website which should make it a great deal easier to keep you all up to date with what’s been happening. It’s a good thing too, as I have a whole bunch of things from over the summer that I’m dying for you to see.
