Amanda booked me for her wedding in Devon so long ago it’s unreal, I think I had over three year’s notice! When it finally came around we were so ready, and Amanda had been planning her big day to perfection. The hard work paid off, because the whole day went without a hitch. With a sparkly vintage vibe, and a strong use of beautiful dark reds throughout the wedding, every detail was beautiful. Her amazing fishtail dress, the bridesmaid dresses plus all of the groomsmen’s outfit were from Prudence Gowns in Plymouth, with hair being provided by Blush Bridal, and make up by Rosie Finnigan, and they all looked perfect. Even man’s man Aaron had cleaned up well. I think Amanda’s lovely Dad was certainly pleased with his daughter’s look, his emotional reaction had everyone in tears.
The flowers, from Florabunda fitted into the day to perfection, with a mix of dark burgundy and cream roses, and I was quite keen to take home her shoes, from Benjamin Roberts London With the gorgeous wedding decorations (including those incredible name places!)provided by Faithful Designs, and chair covers, sashes and linen provided by the brilliant Southwest Chair Covers, there was literally no details that Amanda hadn’t thought of. Oh, and the CAKE!!! How incredible is that deisgn, made by Ezzie’s Cakes? It smelt incredible, I was desperate to take a bite but thought it best I refrained…
As always, Langdon Court couldn’t do enough for Amanda and her guests. Langdon has for some time been one of my absolute favourite venues, and the food there is seriously to die for. I am always so happy when I’m shooting there and manage to blag a meal! Guests chomped down opn beef wellington and Lamb cutlets, jeeeeez! Luckily for me, most of the guests were too full form their dinner to eat to the the macarons from the coffee table, which delighted me no end…
Their beautiful day was captured by an amazing and multi-talented videographer Ray Macshane. I’ve seen some of their video and it’s gorgeous. Part of the the videography team also doubled up as the entertainer and DJ during the evening, under the name Mackie Entertainment, which was also fantastic.
The whole day was really, really beautiful, which Amanda’s meticulous eye for detail stamped all over it. Aaron, in his own words, had also done a lot: in the way of letting his wife-to-be choose everything! I’ve recently ordered their wedding album: a hand-made Italian album and box finished with a maple- wood finish and I can’t wait to se it!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Hulme!
